What truly fills the human heart?

What does God seek from us?

How do we come to know Him?

God seeks a heart that is clean, pure, and available to Him—a heart emptied of the distractions, attachments, and illusions that so often occupy our lives.

If we are honest with ourselves, we will recognize how much of our attention is devoted to appearances. We compare ourselves to others. We pursue status, possessions, recognition, or the image we wish to project. We strive to acquire what others have and to be perceived in a certain way. Yet these pursuits, while often consuming our thoughts and energy, do little to transform us into the people God created us to be.

We fill our hearts with many things that occupy space but do not bring lasting meaning.

Only when we allow God to enter our hearts can we begin to see clearly what truly matters and what does not. Jesus repeatedly warns us against hypocrisy—the temptation to focus on outward appearances while neglecting the condition of the soul. Authentic faith calls us to be genuine, not performative; to love, not simply to be seen loving.

God is love. And true love seeks nothing for itself. It does not seek recognition, reward, or personal gain. It desires the good of others. It longs for all people to know the Father and to share in the gift of eternal life.

When we help others, we are not earning merit or proving our worth. Rather, we are allowing God to transform us. Service opens our eyes to the presence of Christ. It teaches us to recognize Him in those around us and to place Him at the center of our lives.

The more time we spend with Jesus, the more He removes what is unnecessary and fills us with what endures. He teaches us to let go of pride, self-interest, and fear so that His love may take root within us.

And when we serve our neighbor, we do more than offer assistance—we reveal Christ. Through our actions, others can come to see that the reason we love, serve, and remain present is not our own goodness, but the presence of Jesus walking beside us every step of the way.
